SafeSpaces is a project for the integration of unaccompanied migrant minors. The project brings together 7 partners from 7 different countries, from Europe as well Latin America. The project will foster mutual understanding across different challenges and migration processes as true global challenges but addressed with a European approach. The project will go through three phases of development, fostering first a level of research and the creation of a level playing ground for the integration of migrant minors into different contexts (Mexico, but also Bulgaria with Ukrainian displaced children). The second approach will create a training programme for a new professional figure that is capable of running a one-stop-shop such as
the SafeSpace is foreseen. Furthermore, the project will support the creation of such SafeSpaces in implementing countries. We expect the creation of at least 5 SafeSpaces, training at least 30 professionals to be employed on the ground, who will finally work for the integration of at least 100 unaccompanied children across 5 countries.
